She liked to travel and visited California, Nassau and the Bahamas, and more. Later in life Brenda worked at Wilmington Lighting and American Optical for many years and finally worked at the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home, from which she retired. She was blessed with an adventurous spirit, a lively personality, and a big heart. Her competitive side lead her to master the card games whist and poker. As her next challenge, she learned to play the piano. As an adventurous child, she tried her hand at organizing producing and directing plays for the neighborhood children to perform for their parents. Born in Chelsea on June 30, 1940, she lived in the West End of Boston in her early years and returned to Chelsea in her early teens and remained a resident for the rest of her life. On Sunday, August 1, 2021 our beloved Brenda Ann Massey (nee: Mahon) passed away at her residence at 5 Admirals Way, in Chelsea, Massachusetts at the age of 81 years.
